What does the customer see?

The customer gets a text from the shop's HighLevel number. It says a time slot opened, then Take it, then an Accept link. They open that link. The page says the time opened up, and Accept means it is theirs. The first person to tap Accept is booked. The link lasts 15 minutes. If it expires, or they tap No thanks, NextUp texts the next person on the waitlist. This is for filling a cancellation, not a product-launch email list.

What do they tap?

The text looks like this: "A 2:00 PM slot just opened. Take it:" and then the Accept link on joinnextup.com. The page reads "This time just opened up. Accept and it's yours." The buttons are Accept and No thanks.

  1. They open the Accept link in the text.
  2. They tap Accept to take the time, or No thanks to pass.
  3. After Accept, the page says "You're booked" and a text says "You're booked for" that time.
  4. If 15 minutes pass with no Accept, the next person is texted and this link stops working.

The waitlist tag comes off once they are booked. They are booked even if that confirmation text does not go through.

What if they pass?

No thanks shows "Thanks" and "We'll offer this slot to someone else." The tag stays. The next person gets their own text and their own Accept link. Only one Accept link is live for that location at a time.

Frequently asked questions

What does the cancellation text say?

The text says a time slot just opened, then Take it, then the Accept link. It is sent from the shop's HighLevel number. The customer does not reply with a keyword. They open the link. The page says this time just opened up, and that Accept means it is theirs. The buttons are Accept and No thanks.

How long does the Accept link last?

The Accept link lasts 15 minutes. If they tap Accept in that time, they are booked into the open time and the waitlist tag comes off. A confirmation text says they are booked for that time. If 15 minutes pass with no Accept, NextUp texts the next person and the earlier link stops working.

What if they tap No thanks?

The page says thanks, and that this slot will be offered to someone else. They stay on the waitlist. NextUp then texts the next person. If nobody left can take the time, the texting stops and the hour can stay open.
