How does STOP work?

Reply STOP to opt out of NextUp texts. HighLevel turns on SMS Do Not Disturb for that contact, often labeled DND. NextUp skips anyone with that switch on and does not turn it back off. The waitlist tag stays until you remove it. The terms say reply STOP at any time. For help, reply HELP or email support@joinnextup.com.

What do you check after STOP?

Opt-out lives on the contact as SMS Do Not Disturb. There is no separate NextUp switch to clear. Skipping them does not take the waitlist tag off.

  1. Reply STOP to the text, or ask the customer to reply STOP.
  2. Open the contact and check SMS Do Not Disturb.
  3. Leave the waitlist tag if they should stay listed without texts, or remove it if they should leave the list.
  4. Turn SMS Do Not Disturb off on the contact if they should get texts again.

While Do Not Disturb is on, a cancellation moves to the next person who can be texted. NextUp does not turn the switch off when you run the Add to waitlist action or when someone is booked.
